Affordable microchips and vaccines available at Macomb County Animal Control events

Macomb County Animal Control will host two vaccine clinics for cats and dogs with local rescue organization All About Animals. The clinics will be held on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rodgers Elementary PTC (21601 Lanse Street, St. Clair Shores) and on Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights. The public events, which do not require Macomb County residency or an appointment, will offer low cost vaccines and microchipping for pets.

“We recommend that all pet owners get their animals up-to-date vaccinations and microchips,” said Macomb County Animal Control Chief Jeff Randazzo. “This simple action not only ensures the health and well-being of your pet, it also protects family members, friends and members of the public that might interact with them.”

Microchips for both cats and dogs will be administered through All About Animals and will cost $20. Vaccinations, also through All About Animals, include:

  • Distemper (DHPP DHLPP - $10
  • Rabies (3 year with proof of prior Rabies) - $10
  • Bordatella (Kennel Cough) - $10
  • Lyme - $20
  • Canine Influenza (CIV) - $20
  • Heartworm Test - $20

  • Distemper (FVRCP) - $10
  • Leukemia (FELV) - $10
  • Rabies (3 year with proof of prior Rabies) - $10

Macomb County Animal Control staff will be on site to offer pet licenses. Organizers ask that dogs be leashed with snug collars and cats be placed in carriers.
